Pearls Before Swine

There are some people that you just simply have to get away from.


It would be nice if we could all get along wonderfully and always be beneficial for each other. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Many people think that they can be a good influence on others and help them to change for the better. This certainly can happen.

So many times, however, it's the one who tries to bring light into a dark place that is changed for the worst.


There are so many people out there who are lost and really don't care to be found. Misery loves company, and let's face it...positive change can be a lot of work. Many people find it much easier to just stay with the situations they have become accustom to.


Does this mean to never reach out to someone who needs help? No, but if after trying for a period of time to help them and you don't see any effort on their part, then you can say that you tried and leave it at that. If they really want to change, then they will more than likely seek you out after you have moved on. And then, of course, it's up to you if you want to try to help them again.


The Bible talks about going the second mile with people. It doesn't mention a third or fourth.
